Sectoral Commitment Tracker

Tracking government promises, public spending and results.

This year, the Government has budgeted $1.4 Trillion in taxes and public revenues (approx. $3.8 Billion per day). As the financiers of all things “government” citizens will have to fund the needs of schools, hospitals, roads, security, salaries and all other public services we rely on. The national budget explains how our taxes will be spent, but identifying what was actually achieved, it not so easy. This tool is built to help change that.

In everyday life, accountability is simple. If you give someone money to buy something at the shop, you expect them to return with three things: the product, the receipt, and the change. Our (public) finances should work the same way.

The Sectoral Commitment Tracker brings that principle of basic accountability to public life, by gathering in one place, the major commitments made, the actions taken, and the results achieved.

Designed for citizens, the media and policymakers, this digital space makes accountability visible, understandable, and shareable. It transforms scattered information into a living record of performance that empowers Jamaicans everywhere to ask informed questions, celebrate the progress, and push for better where needed.

This is a step toward a more transparent, more responsive and better served Jamaica.
