Olivia Grange CD, MP

Political career: Ms. Grange is serving her 6th term as a Member of Parliament, Central St. Catherine (1997 to present). She has served as Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture (2007-2011) and Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport (2016 to present). She has served the Jamaica Labour Party as Deputy General Secretary and Deputy Leader. She also served as Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister 1985-1989; Government Senator and Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture 1983-1985. MP Grange serves on the House Standing Orders Committee of Parliament.

Civic activities: Director, Edward Seaga Research Institute and Director, founding member of the Jamaica Association of Composers, Artistes and Producers (JACAP).

Profession: Career politician, record producer, former arts officer at Institute of Jamaica and cultural director of the West Kingston community.

Education: All Saints Primary; Gaynstead High and Ryerson University, Canada as well as Keele Vocational Training School.
