Horace Chang CD, MP

Political career: Has served as Member of Parliament for St. James North Western (2002 to present) and Minister for National Security (2016 to present). Dr. Chang is also Deputy Prime Minister of Jamaica as well as JLP General Secretary. He previously served as Minister without Portfolio with responsibility for Water, Works and Housing in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation and was the Minister of Water, Environment and Housing (September 2007 to December 2011). His other roles have included Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health (1980-1986); Chairman and Deputy Leader, Area Council Four, Opposition Spokesman, Housing and Inner-city Development; Vice-President of Young Jamaica.

Profession: Medical doctor.

Education: He is a graduate of New Roads All-Age School, Cornwall College and the University of the West Indies, Mona.
