Political Career: He has served as a Member of Parliament for Kingston Western since 2011 and Minister of Local Government and Rural Development since 2016. In the previous administration he was Minister of Local Government and Community Development. He has served in the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation as a Councillor for Denham Town (1977-1984) and Councillor for Tivoli Gardens (1990 to 2011), as well as in the Senate.
